Problem Note 51442: SAS® Enterprise Guide® 4.1 projects that include date prompts might return an error after they are migrated to 5.1

DetailsAboutRate It

In SAS Enterprise Guide 5.1, date prompts are duplicated with an appended "_label" on the macro variable name. In this version, date prompt names can be a maximum of 26 characters in length.

Projects migrated from 4.1 to 5.1 might return the following error if they include date prompts with names that have more than 26 characters.

ERROR: Symbolic variable name ENTER_CLOSED_BEGIN_DATE_AGAIN_LABEL
must be 32 or fewer characters long.

To prevent this error from occurring, modify the date prompt names so that they do not exceed 26 characters. You can make this change before or after migration.
